Poison on Platter
Genetically modified foods are an issue of debate. Poison on the Platter a film by Mahesh Bhatt, a noted film personality, was screened at Bharat Bhawan in Bhopal on March 2, 2009, in the presence of Bhatt himself. Also present on the occasion were Nilesh Desai, Beej Swaraj Abhiyan and Sampark, Sachin Kumar Jain, Vikas Samvad, Tapan Kumbhkar, CASA and Madhyanchal Forum, Dr Suresh Mishra, MP Jal Biradari, Arun Tyagi, Dalit Aadivasi Mahapanchayat, and Jayant Verma, Hamara Beej Abhiyan.

Demography of Bhils
Sampark primarily works among Bhils, who are most predominant tribe of Madhya Pradesh. Bhils constitute as much as 86.8 per cent of Jhabua's population.
Once a proud people with their distinct living, culture and traditions, Bhils today are a perfect picutre of exploitation at the hands of market and political system. Almost all Bhils are neck deep in debts.
