Child Rights and Protection

Sampark Sanstha has emerged as a strong platform for the protection and promotion of child rights in Jhabua district. The organization aims to ensure that every child lives a safe, healthy, and dignified life. It has made significant grassroots interventions, particularly addressing critical issues such as child marriage and child labor. To prevent child marriage, continuous awareness campaigns and community dialogues were conducted, successfully stopping 542 planned child marriages.

The intervention went beyond mere information-sharing—it involved counseling families, engaging with adolescent girls, and offering alternative life opportunities. This effort helped protect dozens of children from premature responsibilities and redirected them toward education and childhood. In tackling child labor, 539 working children were withdrawn from labor and re-enrolled in school. Most of these children had dropped out due to poverty or seasonal migration of their parents. Sampark, in collaboration with schools and local administration, reintegrated them into mainstream education.
