Improving Reading Skills

Digital Learning for Children

Sampark’s Digital Literacy Initiative aims to bridge the digital divide in rural and tribal communities, ensuring that children and families are not left behind in the digital era. The program introduces digital tools and skills in both school and community settings to enhance learning, access, and empowerment.

With digital illiteracy being a major barrier to modern education, Sampark has initiated digital learning hubs and mobile-based sessions in selected villages. So far, 430 families have been introduced to digital platforms that enable access to educational content, government services, land records, and Aadhaar-based utilities. Children are taught to use tablets and computers for e-learning. Educational apps, digital storytelling platforms, and online videos supplement classroom teaching. These tools support self-paced learning and are especially helpful for children who have missed school or need additional academic support.

Community Digital Uplift

The initiative also trains community members and School Management Committees (SMCs) in using smartphones to track children’s attendance, access government schemes, and communicate with teachers. This builds digital confidence among adults and fosters greater transparency and participation.

During school closures—such as during the COVID-19 pandemic—digital literacy helped maintain learning continuity. The availability of e-resources proved vital in keeping students connected with their studies. Through this initiative, Sampark is not only making students digitally literate but is also cultivating digitally empowered communities. The program aims to expand further, promoting digital equity and ensuring no child is left behind.
