Sampark’s Girl Child Education Promotion Program is a large-scale initiative addressing barriers faced by girls in tribal and rural areas. Launched in 2018–19, it now spans 27 blocks across five districts and 1,751 villages in Madhya Pradesh.
The program is run in partnership with 5,489 Government Schools and supports government teachers to ensure school enrollment for 95,188 children.
The program identifies out-of-school girls aged 6–14 and facilitates their enrollment in nearby schools. It ensures they have access to educational documentation and continuous academic support. However, the initiative goes beyond enrollment, offering holistic development through learning tools like Gyan Ka Pitara, life skills sessions, and leadership platforms such as Bal Sabha (Girls’ Councils).
The project actively involves communities, especially parents and local leaders, to create a supportive environment for girls’ education. Regular outreach and awareness campaigns aim to shift deep-rooted gender biases and build a culture that values girls’ learning.
