Sampark’s School Quality Provision Program enhances learning environments and outcomes in 5,489 government schools across 3,221 villages. Its approach is centered on strengthening governance, improving pedagogy, and making schools more child-friendly and effective.
A cornerstone of this initiative is the formation and training of School Management Committees (SMCs). Over 8,600 SMCs have been activated, involving 24,000+ members in school planning and monitoring. Regular SMC meetings have fostered accountability and encouraged local solutions to school-level challenges.

Sampark has also introduced teaching tools like the “Bhanwa No Kandiya” learning basket, which includes flashcards, abacuses, and visual aids. These tools are aligned with the curriculum but adapted to tribal contexts, helping children understand concepts more easily. To address teacher shortages and enhance classroom engagement, over 5,000 education volunteers (Shala Mitras) assist in daily teaching. They also support individualized learning, especially for children who are lagging behind.
Regular assessments, life skills workshops, and child-centered learning sessions contribute to measurable improvements in learning outcomes. More than 63,000 children have benefited from these quality sessions.
Sampark’s participatory approach ensures that education reforms are community-owned and sustainable. By enhancing the capacity of teachers, parents, and local governance structures, the program has significantly improved the quality of rural schooling.
