Improving General Health
In tribal district Jhabua women cannot discuss or explain their sexual problems with anybody due to ghunghat (veil) and hesitation. Because of hesitation they don’t disclose their problems which become chronic and severe with passage of time. Sampark organised meetings with tribal women. Problems and issues pertaining to women were discussed in the meetings. Collection and compilation of these data revealed that 45 per cent of women were suffering from Reproductive Tract Infections & Anaemia and major reason for their poor health.
Camps were organised for RTI/STI on the basis of the problems shared by the women.They were diagnosed and provided treatment by a gynaecologist. In the camp all women, girls, men and boys who visited were given treatment as per their diagonsed problems.
Outreach activities for the community project under National Rural Health Mission were conducted. They were provided information about schemes and health camps conducted with coordination of government departments.
